Studien
Zum Einsatz der HRV gibt es mittlerweile Hunderte wissenschaftlicher Studien.
Hier eine davon: Die National Institutes of Health erteilten Dr. Luskin von der Stanford University Fördermittel
zur Erforschung zur Schulung im HRV-Training bei Patienten mit schwerer Herzinsuffizienz.
Die Patienten litten unter Atemnot, Müdigkeit, Ödemen und vielfach zusätzlich unter Ängsten und Depressionen.
Nach sechswöchiger Behandlung hatte das Stressniveau der Gruppe, die gelernt hatte das HRV-Training einzusetzen,
um 22 Prozent abgenommen und die Depression um 34 Prozent, während der körperliche Zustand in der Hinsicht,
ohne Atemnot zu gehen, sich um 14 Prozent verbessert hatte.
Bei der Kontrollgruppe, in der konventionelle Mittel zur Anwendung kamen, hatten sich alle genannten Indikatoren
gegenüber den Ausgangswerten verschlechtert (Luskin et al. 2002)
